Civil Partnerships
We understand that you may not wish to believe that your civil partnership may end, however we also understand that individuals may wish to plan for every eventuality. Pre/ Post Partnership Agreements, like Wills, allow for plans
to be made should the worst happen.
Pre/ Post Partnership Agreements are entered into in the hope of knowing what the parties intend to happen with their assets and to save the time and expense of negotiation during dissolution.
A Pre-Partnership Agreement is an agreement entered into by the couple before the civil partnership takes place to formalise arrangements relating to their finances should the parties separate. A Post-Partnership Agreement is simply that the agreement is made
after the civil partnership takes place.
Please see an attached fact-sheet regarding the current legal standing of Pre / Post Partnership Agreements.
