Living together/ Cohabitation Agreements
These agreements can be entered into by cohabiting parties (either pre-cohabitation or during cohabitation) who wish to formalise arrangements relating to their assets and property should their relationship end. It can also specify
arrangements relating to the arrangement during the cohabitation, such as arrangements for payment of bills.
We understand that you may not wish to believe that your relationship may end, however we also understand that individuals may wish to plan for every eventuality. Living together/ Cohabitation Agreements, like Wills, allow for plans to be made should the worst
happen.
Living together/ Cohabitation Agreements are entered into in the hope of knowing what the parties intend to happen with their assets and to save the time and expense of negotiation during separation.
Please see an attached fact-sheet regarding the current legal standing of Living together/ Cohabitation Agreements.
