Berg are proud to help bring interprise:13 to Manchester as the outcomes were fedback to Westminster this month in preparation for
Global Entrepreneurship Week.
Hosted at Great John Street Hotel, Manchester, the event was the first stage of interprise:13, gathering insights and practical challenges and next steps from business leaders and entrepreneurs which will be taken forward in November during
Global Entrepreneurship Week 2013.
After introductions from PSC Founder Helene Martin Gee and leading entrepreneur Sara McKee, women from the North West, London and further afield debated key questions on how we could help to inspire
enterprise and ‘Take a Step Forward’ – the theme of the 2013 Global Entrepreneurship Week.
Groups took part in animated discussion bringing their own business experiences to the table ready for each group chair to put forward a recommendation or project to the whole audience. There was then a wider debate on the ideas and voting, chaired by Jill
Pay, the first woman to have held the position of Serjeant at Arms in the House of Commons of the United Kingdom.
Working in partnership with the
All-Party Parliamentary Group on Entrepreneurship, the
Pink Shoe Club is providing links throughout the Northwest to enable real information sharing between the region’s female business leaders and entrepreneurs and Westminster.
