This morning we hosted a seminar on the newly implemented rules and regulations regarding shared parental leave.

Shared parental leave or SPL is a new legal right which came into force on the 1st December 2014 and will allow couples to share maternity or adoption leave and pay from 5 April 2015.

The Berg Employment team provided a clear overview of these complicated new regulations and then identified the main points employers need to be aware of and how they will work in practice and there was also opportunity to ask questions and discuss thoughts.

We hope everyone who attended this seminar left feeling more at ease and fully understanding the new shared parental leave laws. We have also attached a download of the ACAS guide on Shared Parental Leave and the slides from the seminar below and hope you find
these helpful.
