Elizabeth is a Trainee Solicitor based in Manchester, qualifying in September 2019.
Elizabeth studied History at the University of Manchester, followed by the GDL and the LPC at the University of Law, Manchester. Prior to joining Kennedys she worked as a paralegal at Bevan Brittan, Hill Dickinson and Berg where she worked in property litigation, healthcare litigation and banking/commercial litigation respectively.
- Medical negligence cases
- Whilst at Hill Dickinson, Elizabeth assisted a partner on a number of high profile and high value medical negligence claims against various NHS trusts and health authorities. The most complex and emotionally charged of these were the birth injury and acquired brain injury cases. These would attract significant media attention, and required a sensitive and pragmatic approach.
- Hockin v RBS
- Whilst at Berg, Elizabeth assisted on this high value banking case which concerned the selling of an interest-rate hedging product to the Hockin family by RBS. The highly complex case attracted considerable media interest before settling on the third day of Trial in May 2017.
